Games making, Part two, 2011

Over the last 2 months, Shine has been a hive of activity, despite the schools being closed. One of the projects we have worked on has been the devising and making up of new extension games for the programme. Sally James and Elizabeth Nadler Nir did a lot of research last year on what was working in the games file, and what was not, where the gaps were, what was being overly repeated, and in December 2010 the three of us set to work to devise some new and more interactive games. We had a team of artists to assist us, who produced wonderful black and white images to freshen the look. Thank you Fiona, Jane,Asleigh and Sally one and two, and Elizabeth, for your creativity and energy.Out with the old, and in with the new! The volunteers will encounter more fun board games, extension work to the programme, games to ensure that more comprehension work is involved, and overall a fresh and engaging look. We are always looking to improve the programme, and we are excited to introduce more variety and interest to the mix.
