Thanks to Roy Cheek and Suzanne Himely from Claremont Rotary, who donated a substantial amount of money for books for Shine. Di at Claremont helped create a wonderful morning: her attention to detail is spectacular! In addition to the beautifully laden table, which was full of delicious cakes and goodies, two friends of Shine, Gill and Beth, organised fabric, and made wonderful book bags with stars on for the children to take home! What a special gesture, thank you. Mr Reddy, the school principal, was able to join the team for the proceedings, which added to the sense of occasion. We received a lovely letter of thanks and support from Roy, which said 'We enjoyed interacting with the Shine “people” very much indeed, and look forward to a long and meaningful relationship with you.'
