Eight people joined us yesterday for our Shine in a Box training. This makes a total of close to 100 people we have trained in our Shine methods since we started the course two years ago. We always go away very energised from these gatherings: there is always so much enthusiasm and energy bounding around. We hope that out of small seedlings, many Shine chapters will grow! Two of the attendees, Fikile and Penny Tshabulala, flew down from Gauteng, and we were able to introduce them to Margi Bashall, who has started several Shine Chapters in and around Jo Burg. Fikile gave us wonderful feedback just before we parted ways:
'I am excited about the wealth of
information gained, I this feels like the tip of the iceberg....a hurdle may be funding, but I am excited to start something!'
We always like the feedback, as it helps us improve on our presentation and delivery for future workshops. As always, thank you to CDRA for the venue, and to Cecilia who always provides us with a hearty and sustaining lunch.
