Volunteer Training workshop, Friday 15th April

We had a strong turn out of new volunteers last week who attended out part one workshop. We focused on the Shine Ethos, and the importance of working at the child's pace. It is always great to see new and established faces. On the same morning, The Common Ground Church had asked Maurita to conduct a Lightweight Outreach training for them, so Maurita hopped from one venue to the next very quickly, and spent two hours at the Common Ground venue on Rondebosch common. The church has plans to work with a school in Athlone, and they have asked us to support them in training going forward. This may be another of our important Outreach collaborations.... watch this space!
